YTB chairman commemorates Dr. Sadık Ahmet on anniversary of his death
In his message, Turus stated that Dr. Ahmet dedicated his life to defending the identity, legal rights and dignity of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, describing him as a determined advocate who did not step back despite facing pressure.
Turus said Dr. Sadık Ahmet continues to inspire not only the generations of his time but also those who continue to pursue struggles for rights, justice and equality today. He described Ahmet as one of the strongest symbols of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace’s undeniable existence and its determination to live with dignity while preserving its own identity.
Highlighting Ahmet’s legacy, Turus said the most important responsibility left behind by the late leader was to continue defending the legitimate cause of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and maintaining bonds of solidarity and brotherhood.
Turus emphasized that YTB will continue supporting the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace in efforts to preserve its identity, culture and rights.
"We will continue to keep alive the cherished memory of Dr. Sadık Ahmet and the cause for which he fought," Turus said.
The YTB chairman concluded his message by remembering Dr. Sadık Ahmet with mercy, gratitude and appreciation on the anniversary of his passing.
