Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board Holds Official Talks in Ankara
The Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board (WTTMAB), led by Chairman Mustafa Trampa, has announced the completion of a series of official meetings in Ankara aimed at strengthening cooperation and discussing issues concerning the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace.
According to a statement issued by the Advisory Board, the delegation's first stop was the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), where members met with TİKA President Abdullah Eren for an exchange of views on matters of mutual interest.
As part of the visit, the delegation also held talks with President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Erol Özvar. Discussions focused on recent developments in the field of education and related issues affecting the community.
The delegation further met with Abdülhadi Turus, President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), to discuss cooperation opportunities and topics concerning the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace.
The final meeting of the Ankara program took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. Representatives of the Advisory Board met with Deputy Foreign Minister and President for EU Affairs Mehmet Kemal Bozay to exchange views on current matters related to the minority community.
In its statement, the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board expressed its gratitude to all institutions and officials who welcomed the delegation during the visit, highlighting their hospitality and constructive engagement throughout the meetings.
