Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board continues contacts in Ankara
As part of their visit, the delegation met with Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan.
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared a post on its official social media account, stating:
“Our Minister Hakan Fidan received the members of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board in Ankara.”
Advisory Board Chairman and Mufti of İskeçe, Mustafa Trampa, also commented on the visit, writing:
“As part of our visit to Ankara, we met with Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Hakan Fidan together with the delegation of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board.”
During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, several senior officials were present, including Burak Özügergin, Director General for Bilateral Political Affairs and Maritime-Aviation-Border Affairs and former Ambassador to Athens; Aykut Ünal, Consul General of Türkiye in Gümülcine; as well as other ministry representatives.
