Donation of tablet computers by The Xanthi (İskeçe) Turkish Union (ITB) and the Western Thrace Minority Culture and Education Company (BAKES) to the needy students in the Western Thrace region to be used in the distance education process donated tablet computers in Greece, caused discomfort in the Greek media.
In the news-commentary titled "The Xanthi Turkish Union distributed tablets and computers" on the news site newsbreak.gr, it was claimed that Western Thrace Turks were in the hands of Turkish propaganda and those who defend it. The news commentary stated that not only the present but all (Greek) governments had forgotten this region, and it was argued that this provided a glorious victory for those who had other plans for the region.
