Western Thrace student honored by İskeçe Mufti’s Office after National Adhan Competition success
Karaahmet, a student at Istanbul Hakkı Demir Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, drew widespread attention for his performance in the nationwide call-to-prayer recitation contest, becoming a source of pride for the Turkish community in Western Thrace.
The young student is also the son of Ayhan Hacı Karaahmet, who serves as an imam under the İskeçe Mufti’s Office.
The achievement was celebrated across the region, particularly among members of the Turkish Muslim minority community and religious institutions in İskeçe.
To mark the accomplishment, Mustafa Trampa, who also serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, presented Karaahmet with a gold coin award and congratulated him on his success.
Mufti Trampa emphasized that the achievement sets a positive example for Turkish Muslim youth in Western Thrace and highlights the importance of religious and cultural education among younger generations.
