Western Thrace Fenerbahce Association responded to those who were offended by the expression "Western Thrace" in the name of the association, with a statement on its social media account.
In the statement, it was emphasized that the association has nothing to do with politics, that they will not allow those who want to attract political discussions by targeting the association, and that the association will not be used as a tool in politics.
Reminding that the phrase "Western Thrace" is not used only by their association, it was stated in the statement that the Western Thrace Fenerbahce Association has not engaged in any activity that threatens unity and solidarity since the day it was founded.

We strongly condemn those who try to politicize our association.

- Are we the only one or the first association or organization established, operate under the name of Western Thrace?
- What kind of activity has our association carried out to threaten unity and solidarity since the day it was founded?
- Have the person or people who have taken the purpose of the foundation of our association in different directions with the perception operation, have they read our charter? We remind to everyone that in our charter, persons who are members of political parties or who are interested in politics cannot serve in the management of our association.
