Court ruling pending in Western Thrace Fenerbahçe Supporters Association case
The case, initiated by the Rhodopi Public Prosecutor’s Office, seeks the dissolution of the association and is currently at the appeal stage. The second hearing took place on January 23, with both parties presenting their arguments before the court.
During the session, the association’s lawyer, İlker Çavuşoğlu, submitted a comprehensive defense file to the court. After hearing statements from all parties, the panel concluded deliberations and formally closed the hearing.

According to legal sources, the court is expected to announce its ruling in the coming months, as judges continue to review the submitted documents and legal arguments.
The hearing drew significant attention and support from representatives of the Turkish minority in Western Thrace. Among those present at the courthouse were Mümin Hasan, President of the Western Thrace Fenerbahçe Supporters Association, Çiğdem Asafoğul, President of the Friendship, Equality, Peace (FEP) Party, Murat Ahmet, Secretary General of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association, and Erdi Şerif, President of the Thrace Agricultural Cooperative.
Observers note that the case is being closely followed due to its potential implications for freedom of association and minority rights in Greece.
