"We vote FEP Party in the European elections of June 9th!"
As the European Federation of Western Thrace Turks (ABTTF), the representative of the Turks of Western Thrace living in Europe, we call upon all the Turks of Western Thrace living inside and outside our country who have the right to vote to vote in the European Parliament elections to be held in our country on 9 June and to protect our future, so that the presence of our community in our country Greece and in Europe becomes more noticeable and our voice and demands become stronger, directly participating in the decision-making mechanisms of European politics!
We vote for our party FEP Party in the European elections!
The elections for the European Parliament (EP) will be held in Greece on Sunday 9 June 2024. In the EP elections, the lists of political parties will be contested where voters can vote directly for candidates, the new holders of Greece's 21 seats in the EP will emerge.
The Supreme Court of Appeal (Supreme Court) announced the parties that will participate in the EP elections on Wednesday 24 April. It was announced that 46 political parties from all over Greece have applied to participate in the EP elections. The Supreme Court approved 31 of the political parties that applied. On 9 June, the only and exclusive political party of the Turkish community of Western Thrace, the Equality, Peace and Friendship Party (KIEF) will participate in the EP elections, as the
2014 and 2019.
For the first time in European elections in Greece, Greek voters aged 17 and over living both at home and abroad will be able to vote by postal ballot. No separate ballot boxes will be set up at Greek diplomatic missions for Greek citizens living abroad.
KIEF, the representative of the Turkish community of Western Thrace in the political field, which will participate in the EP elections to be held on Sunday 9 June, started its election activities from the village of Echino in Xanthi on Thursday evening 25 April. The KIEF aims to make history once again in our country and in Europe in the European elections in which it will participate for the third time by saying "We are here!", by presenting the strong voice and demands of the Turkish community of Western Thrace throughout Europe and by conveying the message "We exist and we are Turks!" We are Turkish!" to those who deny our existence in our country.
