Visit to Mustafçova Municipality from the Advisory Board
The Advisory Board delegation, consisting of Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board Chairman and Gümülcine (Komotini) Mufti İbrahim Şerif, İskeçe (Xanthi) Mufti Mustafa Trampa and Gümülcine (Komotini) Turkish Youth Union President Sedat Hasan, visited Mustafçova (Miki) Mayor Ahmet Kurt, who took office on January 1, 2024.
Mustafçova Municipality Deputy Mayors Mithat Kabur, Embiye Efendi, Erkan Homko, Hamdi Barka and Sami Palikar were also present during the visit.
After the municipality visit, the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board Delegation visited Paşevik (Pachni) village, one of the villages of the Xanthi Balkan Branch, and performed the Friday prayer with the compatriots.
Mustafçova Mayor Ahmet Kurt made the following statements about the visit on his social media account:
“The Chairman of the Western Thrace Advisory Board and the Virtuous Mufti of Gümülcine (Komotini), Mr. İbrahim ŞERİF, Virtuous Mufti of İskeçe (Xanthi) Mustafa TRAMPA and Gümülcine (Komotini) Turkish Youth Union President Mr. Sedat HASAN visited the Mustafçova Municipality management and made us happy by wishing us success and offering good wishes.
I would like to thank them for their courtesy visit on behalf of our people. We have full hope for the days when we will return to a bright future.
Afterwards, we performed our Friday prayer together in our Paşevik (Pashalar) village. May my Lord accept it.
Chairman of the Advisory Board of Western Thrace Turkish Minority and Mufti of Gümülcine (Komotini), İbrahim Şerif, said in his post: "Today (February 9, 24), we visited Mr. Ahmet Kurt the Mayor of Mustafçova in his office. We wished him success and congratulated him.”
Mufti İbrahim Şerif also said about his visit to Paşevik village: “Today, we performed the Friday prayer in Paşevik, one of the İskeçe (Xanthi) mountain villages, and had a short conversation with the community. We sincerely thank the people of the village for accepting us into their hearts.”
