According to the reports, the residents of the region were not informed that the exercise will be carried out within the municipality's borders on Wednesday, 12 August, and the sudden appearance of armed soldiers performing exercises in the village and in the cemetery area and its surroundings caused concern among the residents. The same concerns were experienced in the village of Şahin. Soldiers located at the entrance of the village made people question "What is happening in the region?", "What is it about landing soldiers in a minority village in a sensitive period?".
As Mayor confirms, people were not informed about the exercise thus it is such a normal case that the residents were concerned. However, the 4th Corps sources claim that those kinds of exercises are an ordinary process.
