Turkish students, winners of the Maths Festival, receive a certificate of appreciation
The Greek Association for Science and Technology organised a Greece-wide Mathematics Festival on 5-6 April 2023.
A total of 39 students from different grades represented Celal Bayar Minority Secondary School and High School at the 3rd Online Mathematics Festival this year.
At the festival, the students, under the leadership of their teachers Karolina Konstantinidu Grigorias, Mehmet Mustafa, Aydın Halil, and İsmail Yaykın, prepared a video on the occasion of the Pythagorean Theorem and performed mathematical symbols by interpreting them with notes.
With the video they prepared, they came first in the competition in which 800 schools and more than 350 thousand students from all over the country participated.
The Greek Science and Technology Association, which organised the festival, sent certificates of appreciation to the Turkish students who won the competition.
The school administration made a statement about the students who came first in the festival and received their certificates of appreciation and their success.
"Within the framework of this festival, the students of our school participated in the competition under the guidance of their teachers. Of the participating students, 39 students ranked first and received certificates of appreciation. As the school administration and the board of councillors, we congratulate our students who dared to participate in the competition and our teachers who guided them, and we wish them continued success. A total of 800 schools and 350 thousand students participated in the Mathematics Festival and the Turkish students of Celal Bayar Minority Secondary School and High School in Komotini, under the leadership of their teachers, came first in this competition."
