Turkish journalists from Western Thrace participate in AA's "Images of the Year" voting

Journalists analysed the photographs taken by AA reporters and photojournalists in Turkey and abroad during 2023 and selected the following categories: "News", "Environment-Life", "Sports", "Gaza: Evidence" and "Earthquake: Hope" categories.

Hasan Hasan, a reporter for Gündem newspaper, was awarded in the "News" category for Klebher Vasquez's "Street clash", in the "Environment-Life" category for Oğuz Yeter's "Drought bridge", in the "Sports" category for Fatemeh Bahrami's "Unhindered", in the "Gaza: Evidence" category, Mustafa Hassona's "Unspeakable" and "Earthquake: Hope" by Aytuğ Can Sencar in the "Earthquake: Hope" category.

Ramadan Molla, Komotini Officer of Millet Newspaper and Editor of Çınar FM, also voted in the "News" category with Mahmut Serdar Alakuş's "Sky acrobatics", in the "Environment-Life" category with Ali Fatih Akçay's "Natural colours", in the "Sports" category with Dacid Alvaro's "Support for Gaza", in the "Gaza: Evidence" category, Mustafa Hassona's "Last touch to a brother" and "Earthquake: Hope" category, Sergen Sezgin's "Rescuer" in the "Earthquake: Hope" category.

TRT correspondent and Çınar FM Manager Nejat Ahmet chose "Earthquake: Hope" category for Muhammed Enes Yıldırım's "All for one", "Gaza: Evidence" category, Ali Jadallah's "Missing", Klebher Vasquez's "Death of a giant" in the "Environment-Life" category, Mustafa Ünal Uysal's "Mountaineers on duty" in the "News" category and Burak Akbulut's "Brawl on the track" in the "Sports" category.

Hasan, a reporter for Gündem newspaper, told AA correspondent that AA photojournalists fulfil their duties in the best way possible under difficult conditions, adding that AA employees provide its subscribers with hot news from all over the world in a fast manner.

"Anadolu Agency, founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1920, is today among the world agencies," Hasan said.

Molla, Komotini Officer of Millet Newspaper and Editor of Çınar FM, stated that the services provided by AA are closely followed all over the world and said, "AA is an institution where we can learn about the events taking place around the world."
