The request accepted for the establishment of a fire brigade in Şahin village

With the support of volunteers and the municipality of Mustafçova, a fire brigade will be established in the village of Şahin, Mustafçova Municipality, consisting of 18 volunteers and 3 permanent firefighters. These personnel will temporarily work at the Citizen Service Centre (CSC) in Sahin.

According to the information given by Yannis Arabacis, Head of the Fire Brigade Service of Xanthi, the request for the decision, which is expected to be published in the Official Gazette in the coming days, was submitted by the Mayor of Mustafçova Ahmet Kurt to the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection.

Arabacis reported that approval was given for the fulfilment of the necessary prerequisites for the establishment of the fire brigade by the municipality of Mustafçova.

As it will be remembered, Xanthi MPs Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran had repeatedly brought the issue to the parliamentary agenda.

On the other hand, following the decision to establish a fire brigade organisation in Şahin village, Independent Deputy of Xanthi Burhan Baran issued a written statement.

Baran expressed his great satisfaction with the decision to establish a fire brigade in the village of Sahin and said: "With the support of volunteers, the old and new administration of the Municipality and the contribution of the old and new administration of the Province of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, this is an important step towards increasing the security and protection of the region. I have requested the establishment of a fire brigade in Mustafçova Municipality many times and I am very happy that this has become a reality, as this organisation will significantly help the residents of the region and strengthen the response to fires and other emergencies."
