In Xanthi province, Hüseyin Zeybek from SYRIZA and Burhan Baran from PASOK succeeded in getting into the parliament.
While SYRIZA was the first party in Rhodope with 33.8 percent, New Democracy Party in Xanthi province took the first place with 30.49 percent.

The Turkish Minority gave its answer to Bakoyannis and Mitsotakis, who "threatened" it, at the ballot box. The minority said: "We will do whatever we say".
As a result, the Turks of Western Thrace showed that they would not bow down to outdated threats that are incompatible with the norms of international law and the democratic standards of the European Union, by waving those who pointed their fingers at them before the elections.
The NDP lost votes throughout Western Thrace, especially in the Turkish minority polls, due to its pre-election protests.
Rhodope parliamentary candidate Mustafa Katrancı withdrew from his candidacy. It was observed that the other minority candidates of the NDP were not very active in the second round elections.
