Tekirdag trip from ITB course teachers and Women's Branch
İskeçe (Xanthi) Turkish Union (ITB) Cutting - Sewing - Embroidery and Handicrafts Course teachers and the administrators of the Women's Branch visited Tekirdağ on 6-8 January.
A group of 20 people, headed by ITB Deputy Chairman Sevil Şerifoğlu, visited the official authorities in Tekirdağ and participated in the training program. The team participated in the work shop organized by the Tekirdağ Representative of the Women and Democracy Center (KADEM) and gained information on different subjects.
The delegation first visited Tekirdağ Governor Aziz Yıldırım in his office. They were then received by the Mayor of Süleymanpaşa, Cüneyt Yüksel.
After that the ITB team then visited the Cultural Handicrafts Workshops and participated in the workshops. Visiting the Tekirdağ Representative Office of the Women and Democracy Association (KADEM), the team met with President Zeynep Şentop and the members of the board of directors and received important information about KADEM's work.
During the visit, the delegation also met with Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Rector Prof. Dr. Mümin Şahin in his office.
On the second day of their Tekirdağ visit, women from İskeçe attended a training on marketing and a workshop on Arugumi art at Süleymanpaşa Municipality Women's Cooperative (SEMEK).
ITB team completed the tour by visiting the historical and touristic places of Tekirdağ on Sunday, January 8th.
During the visit, the ITB team was accompanied by KADEM Tekirdağ Representative Head Zeynep Şentop and the members of the board of directors.
