The figures show that neighboring markets remain the backbone of the region's tourism industry, with cross-border travel contributing significantly to local businesses, accommodation providers, restaurants and retail outlets.

Romanian visitors recorded the highest overall expenditure, while tourists from Türkiye and Bulgaria also ranked among the region's biggest spenders, reflecting the importance of regional travel for the local economy.
