Tasks in the municipality of Maronia distributed, handover ceremony does not take place yet
On Tuesday 2 January, Apostolos Ioannou took office as the newly elected Mayor of Maronia in Şapçı. However, the handover ceremony could not take place as the former Mayor of Maronia-Şapçı, Dinos Haritopoulos, was not present in the municipality.
On the same day, the councillors of the Municipality of Maronia-Şapçı held their first council meeting. As a result of the meeting, municipal councillor Hristos Meraktsakis was unanimously elected as the President of the Municipality of Maronia-Şapçı Municipality. The new deputy mayors were also announced at the meeting.
The deputy mayors of the Municipality of Maronya are as follows:
Ali Topal Mehmet: Deputy Head of Water, Sewerage and Sanitation for the Şapçı Region.
Maria Trifonidu Vice-President for Economy and Administration
Mustafa Şakir Hüseyin: Vice President for Technical Affairs
Karidis Babis: Vice-President for the Maronia Region
Okan Haliloğu: Vice President for Social Policies and Agricultural Development
