Staikouras coming again to Western Thrace
Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras will visit the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
The visit of Minister Staikouras and the accompanying delegation to Western Thrace will start on Tuesday 28 May and end on Thursday 30 May.
According to the statement released by the Ministry, Minister Staikouras will meet with representatives of chambers of industry and chambers of tradesmen and craftsmen in Evros and Rhodope on Tuesday 28 May. On the same day, Staikouras will visit Alexandroupoli Port Authority and meet with local authorities.
On Wednesday 29 May, Minister Staikouras will chair a meeting in Komotini and after the meeting he will go to Kavala. In Kavala, he will visit Krinids and Tuzla regions and Marmara Dam. Staikouras will then go to Xanthi and visit the tradesmen.
Minister Staikouras and the accompanying delegation will meet with the Director of Primary Education of Xanthi on Thursday 30 May and then attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the 12th Primary School of Lower Nefrokop.
The minister is expected to leave the region after the ceremony.
As it will be remembered, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras visited Xanthi about 3 weeks ago and announced that a fund of approximately 15 million euros was allocated to the Province of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. The announcement that a fund of 500 thousand euros was allocated to the Madrasah of Xanthi within the fund he announced did not escape attention.
