A 46-year-old Staff Sergeant who was serving in an army unit in Alexandroupolis, northeastern Greece, was found dead on Saturday morning.
A 46-year-old Staff Sergeant who was serving in an army unit in Alexandroupolis, northeastern Greece, was found dead on Saturday morning, Greece’s Army General Staff (GES) announced.
The victim was fatally wounded by his service rifle inside the Camp, GES said, without providing further details. The Army is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
It also expressed its sincere condolences to his family.
