Serious traffic accident on Semetli road in Gümülcine
A severe traffic accident occurred on Semetli Road in Gümülcine, involving two vehicles and resulting in multiple injuries. Emergency medical teams and ambulances were quickly dispatched to the scene following reports from witnesses.
Details of the Incident
According to preliminary reports, a blue Türkiye-plated vehicle traveling from Yeni Mahalle suddenly cut in front of a Greece-plated vehicle towing a trailer. The incident happened on the main road behind the military barracks, heading toward Nimfea.
The abrupt maneuver caused the Greek vehicle to lose control, overturn, and skid for several meters.
Eyewitnesses reported that there were four passengers in the blue vehicle and two in the black one. Bystanders promptly alerted emergency services after the crash.
Ambulances arrived swiftly and provided on-site medical aid to the injured before transporting them to Gümülcine State Hospital. As of now, no official statement has been made regarding the severity of the injuries.
Police officers at the scene conducted an initial investigation and announced that a formal inquiry into the cause of the accident has been launched.
