Schedule of the 2024 Seçek Oil Wrestling and Cultural Events been announced
The program of the 2024 Seçek Oil Wrestling and Cultural Events to be organized by the Seçek Minority Education and Culture Association has been announced.
This year, Ali Topal from the village of Salıncak was the agha of the historical events to be held on 2-3-4 August.
One of the traditions kept alive in the events is the tradition that the events start from the village of the agha every year.
However, since there is no mosque in Salıncak village, Mevlid-i Şerif will be read in the neighboring village Mehrikoz Mosque.
Then, those who participate in the mevlid will perform the Friday prayer collectively. After the prayer, all together will go to the Mehrikoz football field where the events are organized.
2024 Seçek Agha Ali Topal will serve food to those attending the mevlid on the field. The first day program of the events will be completed with a cooking competition at 16.00 pm and a tea night at 20.00 pm. The events will continue on the second and third day with oil wrestling, cultural activities and concerts.
On Saturday, August 3, 2024, Rabia Tuçbilek, one of the famous artists of Turkey, will give a concert to the compatriots. On Sunday, August 4, one of the famous music groups of our region, GRUP EXTRA, will give a concert. The program of the historical Seçek Oil Wrestling and Cultural Events, which will last for three days, is as follows:
