Şahin Village mourns the loss of young Enes

A funeral ceremony was held for Enes Kurak, the nephew of İskeçe Mufti Mustafa Trampa, who passed away suddenly in Şahin Village.
Residents of İskeçe’s Şahin Village were overcome with grief as they mourned the sudden passing of 21-year-old Enes Kurak, who tragically passed away on Thursday, March 13. A large crowd gathered on Friday, March 14, to pay their final respects and support his bereaved family.
Mourners from İskeçe, Gümülcine, and surrounding villages attended the funeral. Enes’s father, Rıdvan Kurak, his mother, Leyla Trampa, and other family members were visibly heartbroken throughout the ceremony.
Enes Kurak, the nephew of İskeçe Mufti Mustafa Trampa and a member of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board, was laid to rest in Şahin Village following the afternoon prayer.
Among those in attendance were Turkey’s Consul General in Gümülcine, Aykut Ünal, İskeçe Mufti Mustafa Trampa, İskeçe Yeni Sol MP Hüseyin Zeybek, İskeçe Independent MP Burhan Baran, Rodop Yeni Sol MP Özgür Ferhat, Deputy Regional Governor İrfan Hacıgene, Mustafçova Mayor Ahmet Kurt, Kozlukebir Mayor Erdem Hüseyin, Yassıköy Mayor Caner İmam, regional council members, institutional representatives, local officials, and hundreds of community members.
Following the funeral prayer led by Mufti Mustafa Trampa, Enes was solemnly laid to rest in the Şahin cemetery.
