Religious Officials’ Association pays courtesy visits to Turkish Consulate in Gümülcine and Mufti İbrahim Şerif
The Western Thrace Mosques Religious Officials Association held a series of courtesy visits to senior Turkish and religious representatives in Western Thrace, highlighting continued institutional dialogue within the region’s Muslim community.
The delegation, led by association president Erol Yoluç and members of the newly elected board, first visited the Consulate General of Türkiye in Gümülcine.

The delegation met with Turkish Consul General Aykut Ünal on April 30, Thursday, in a goodwill visit following the association’s recent leadership renewal.
In a statement shared via the consulate’s official social media account, the visit was described as a courtesy call by the newly elected board, with officials extending their best wishes for the new administration’s term.
Meeting with Mufti İbrahim Şerif
On the same day, the delegation also visited İbrahim Şerif at his office.
During the meeting, Mufti Şerif expressed his appreciation for the visit and congratulated the newly elected board members, wishing them success in their duties.
The visits reflect ongoing engagement between religious institutions and diplomatic representation in Western Thrace, where community organizations regularly interact with both local and Turkish state-linked representatives.bat
