Regaip Kandil celebrated with enthusiasm by kinsmen in Western Thrace
Regaip Night, which was observed on Thursday evening 11 January 2024 on the occasion of the beginning of the three months, was celebrated in Western Thrace with sermons, Mevlid-i Sharifs and prayers in the mosques.
Muslim Turks living in the Rhodope region celebrated Regaip Kandili with programmes organised by the Mufti's Office of Komotini in different mosques.
One of the places of worship where the Regaip Night programme was organised was Komotini Kırmahalle Mosque.
At the time of Isha prayers, the kinsmen gathered at the mosque and prayed together.
Then İbrahim Şerif, Mufti of Komotini, took the floor and gave a sermon about the blessed three months and Regaip Night.
The programme started with the Aşr-ı Şerif recited by Hafiz Hüseyin Hasan, Religious Officer of Kırmahalle Mosque.
Afterwards, hymns and Mevlid-i Şerif were recited by the religious officials of Komotini Mufti's Office.
At the end of the programme, Mufti İbrahim Şerif made the prayer of Mevlid-i Sharif. The kinsmen opened their hands together and said amen to the prayer.
