Psychiatrist Dr. Meltem Kırcalı opens private practice in İskeçe
Psychiatrist Dr. Meltem Kırcalı has officially opened her private medical practice in İskeçe, marking a significant milestone in her medical career and expanding access to mental health services in the region.
Located on Panagiotis Tsaldari Street (Gümülcine Road), No. 94, 4th floor, the clinic is now welcoming patients from across Western Thrace.
From Rural Roots to Medical Excellence
Originally from Karachanlar village near İskeçe, Dr. Kırcalı was raised in a farming family, completing her primary education in her hometown before continuing at the İskeçe Minority Middle and High School.
She later gained admission to Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine through Türkiye’s TÖMER examination system, where she successfully completed her medical degree.
Professional Experience in Türkiye and Greece
Following her graduation, Dr. Kırcalı worked in Istanbul as a supervising physician in a private hospital. She then served as a family physician in the districts of Bayrampaşa and Gaziosmanpaşa, gaining valuable frontline healthcare experience.
After returning to Greece, she completed the DOATAP certification process, officially recognizing her medical degree within the country.
She fulfilled her compulsory medical service on the island of Thassos, before specializing in psychiatry.
Specialization in Psychiatry
Dr. Kırcalı completed her psychiatric residency partly on the island of Lesbos, and continued her training at the Democritus University of Thrace Faculty of Medicine Hospital in Dedeağaç, where she earned her title as a psychiatry specialist.

Since March 2026, Dr. Kırcalı has been receiving patients at her newly established clinic in İskeçe.

Tuesday & Thursday (afternoon): 17:00 – 20:00
