Prime Ministry Thessaloniki Office Manager Sokou in Komotini

Working meeting of the Regional Governor of the Region of East Macedonia and Thrace with the Coordinator of the Prime Minister's Office in Thessaloniki, Ms. Elena Sokou.

The Regional Governor of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Mr. Christodoulos Topsidis, had a working meeting with the Coordinator of the Prime Minister's Office in Thessaloniki, Ms. Elena Sokou, at his office in Komotini.

The main subject of the meeting was the cooperation between the second level of local government and the central political scene, in order to implement projects aimed at improving the daily life of citizens and strengthening the development prospects of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

In the context of the meeting was a hierarchy of infrastructure projects to be carried out throughout the territory of the region and depending on the needs of each Regional Unit. The meeting was attended by the  Deputy Regional Governor of Rodopi Mr.. Manolis Tapatzas.

The meeting was also attended by the President of the Rhodope Branch Office of the New Democracy Mr. Yannis Tzambazis and colleagues of Mrs. Sokou.

Meeting wit the Mayor of Komotini

The next stop for the coordinator of the Prime Minister's Office was the office of the Mayor of Komotini, Yannis Garanis. For about an hour the two sides discussed the issues that concern the capital of Thrace.

The issues of professionals and local businesses was also in the agenda, so she followed up with a visit to the Professional & Craft Chamber and a meeting with its president Antonis Gravanis. 

Her next two stops were the Metropolis of Maroneia & Komotini where she met with Metropolitan Panteleimon as well as the General Hospital of Komotini "Sismanoglio" where she had contacts with the administrator Magda Yamoustari and employees.

Due to the black anniversary of the one-year anniversary of the tragic accident in Tempe, the event scheduled for Wednesday afternoon 28 cancelled.
