Pervin Hayrullah from Western Thrace honored with “service to Turkish language and culture award”
At the opening ceremony of the “Turkish Women in the Balkans” International Symposium, held in Constanța, Romania, on September 26, individuals who have contributed to the preservation of the Turkish language and culture were honored.
The event, organized for the 12th time by the Democratic Turkish Union of Romania, recognized three figures from different regions with the “Service to Turkish Language and Culture Award.”
This year’s recipients were Prof. Dr. Ahsen Turan from Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Pervin Hayrullah, General Director of BAKEŞ from Western Thrace, and Birsen Gota from Kosovo.
In the opening remarks, speakers emphasized the importance of keeping the Turkish language alive in the Balkans and passing cultural values on to future generations.
