New board elected for union of hospital and health center doctors in Thrace
Following elections held on March 20, 2025, across the regional units of Evros and Rhodope, the doctors of hospitals and health centers in Thrace have elected a new board for their union. The elections were conducted at three hospitals: the University General Hospital of Alexandroupolis (PGNA), Komotini General Hospital, and Didymoteicho General Hospital.
The newly elected Administrative Board of the Union of Hospital and Health Center Doctors of Thrace (EINOKYTH) held its first meeting on April 8, 2025, during which it was officially constituted. The composition of the new board is as follows:

COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC HEALTH
In a statement following its formation, the new board pledged to continue and intensify efforts to advocate for the rights and working conditions of doctors serving in public healthcare institutions — including hospitals, health centers, and regional clinics. The union emphasized its commitment to achieving high-quality, free public healthcare services for all, aligning with the expectations of society at large.
