Mustafçova Mayor's father-in-law sent off to eternity
Mehmet Alibaşoğlu, 71 years old, residing in Şahin village, had a brain haemorrhage on Friday, 5 May and was taken under treatment at Xanthi State Hospital. Alibaşoğlu, who lost his life in the early hours of the morning, was sent off to his last journey in Şahin village after the afternoon prayer on Tuesday, 9 May.
The funeral ceremony was attended by Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, Xanthi MPs Hüseyin Zeybek, and Burhan Baran, MP candidate Humeyra Ahmetoğlu, Mustafçova Municipality opposition list chairmen Cemil Kabza, Ahmet Kurt, Önder Meçoğlu, mayoral candidate Mücahit Dükkancı and kinsmen from Şahin.
Born in Şahin village, Mehmet Alibaşoğlu was married to Gülsüm Alibaşoğlu and was the father of two daughters and a son.
