Municipality of Gümülcine seeks rental homes for the housing of homeless individuals

The Municipality of Gümülcine, in collaboration with the Development Organization “K. Karatheodori S.A.” and with funding from the Organization of Welfare Benefits & Social Solidarity (OPEKA), is implementing the program “Housing and Work for the Homeless III” under the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family.
The initiative is aimed at individuals and families who are homeless or living in precarious housing conditions.
As part of the program, residences (apartments or houses) of various sizes located within the municipal limits of Komotini are being sought for rental. The program guarantees rent subsidies for 24 months, as well as partial coverage of utility bills (electricity, water, etc.).
Subsidy details:
- Up to €300 per month for single-person households
- Up to €350 per month for two-person households
- Up to €400 per month for households of three or more members
After the initial 24-month period, beneficiaries will continue to receive support for housing rental for an additional 12 + 12 months through inclusion in the “Housing Allowance” program, which also covers real estate agency fees.
Interested property owners or real estate agents who wish to rent out properties under this subsidized scheme—with “K. Karatheodori S.A.” acting as guarantor—may contact the Municipality at (+30) 25310 23165 during regular business hours.
