Muftiate of Xanthi announced the commemoration programme for the late Mufti Ahmet Mete
According to the statement of the Mufti's Office, within the framework of the commemoration programme to be held for the late Mufti Ahmet Mete on Friday, 14 July, Mevlid-i Sharif will be recited before Friday prayers at the Asagımahalle Çınar Mosque in Xanthi. After the Friday prayer, pilaf will be served to the public in the courtyard of the mosque.
At 15.30, a commemoration ceremony will be organised at the grave of Mete at the Aşağımahalle Cemetery in Xanthi.
As stated in the statement of the Mufti's Office, on the same day after the afternoon prayer, a commemoration programme will be organised by the Yassiören Association in the village of Yassiören in Xanthi, the birthplace of the late Mufti Ahmet Mete.
It was reported that all cognates are invited to the commemoration programmes to be held for Mete.
