Mufti Mustafa Trampa calls for unity and solidarity in Eid al-Adha message
Mustafa Trampa, President of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board (BTTADK) and Mufti of İskeçe, issued a heartfelt message for Eid al-Adha, emphasizing unity, brotherhood, sacrifice, and social solidarity among Muslims worldwide.
In his Eid message, Trampa described Eid al-Adha as one of the most sacred occasions in Islam, symbolizing devotion, sacrifice, and compassion. He stressed the importance of celebrating the holy days in peace, spiritual reflection, and communal harmony.
Referring to the Hajj pilgrimage, Trampa noted that millions of Muslims from across the globe gather in the holy lands, united under the same faith and direction of prayer. He highlighted Hajj as a powerful manifestation of Islamic unity, brotherhood, and devotion to God.
“The spirit of Eid should strengthen solidarity within society and remind us of our responsibility toward one another,” Trampa stated.
He underlined that the ritual of sacrifice is not merely a religious obligation, but also a symbol of submission to God, generosity, and social responsibility. Trampa called on Muslims not to forget the elderly, orphans, the poor, and those in need during the holiday celebrations.
The Mufti also addressed the suffering of Muslims in conflict zones, particularly in Gaza and other regions affected by war, hunger, and oppression. He urged the Islamic world to continue praying for the oppressed and to uphold the values of compassion and justice.
In the concluding part of his message, Trampa extended Eid greetings to the Muslim Turkish community of Western Thrace, the broader Islamic world, and all Muslims performing Hajj, expressing hope that Eid al-Adha would bring peace, prosperity, and brotherhood to humanity.
