Motorcycle accident: Young soldier loses his life

A 21-year-old reserve officer tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident involving a collision with a truck in Western Thrace.
The accident occurred at the Miri (Makri) junction near the entrance to the Egnatia Highway. According to local reports, the young officer, stationed in Alexandroupolis, was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a Romanian-registered truck.
Despite being rushed to Alexandroupolis Hospital with severe injuries, the soldier could not be saved despite doctors' efforts.
The incident has left the local community in mourning, and an investigation into the accident is underway.
