Missing Reşit Ahmet found dead
Reşit Ahmet, who did not return after leaving the village of Arisvi (Ircan) of Municipality of Maronia-Sapon on Tuesday last week, was found dead in the Balkan region today.
The people of Arisvi (Ircan) gathered in the village square at 10:30 this morning (09-03-2022). First, all villagers went to the Drosia (Dundarlı) region, where the tractor was located, and started a large-scale search in the Balkan region to find Reşit Ahmet.
A few hours of searching yielded results.
Unfortunately, Reşit Ahmet was found dead in a stream bed close to the area where the tractor was located.
The police and prosecutor who went to the scene are still investigating. After the examination is completed, Reşit Ahmet's (member of the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace) body will be taken from where he was found to Komotini State Hospital for autopsy.
As the Millet newspaper family, we wish Allah's mercy on the late Reşit Ahmet, and express our condolences to his grieving family, relatives and the people of Arisvi (Ircan) village.
