One of the most important educational institutions of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority, Komotini Celal Bayar Minority Secondary and High School and its students continue to achieve successful works and win awards.

Celal Bayar Minority Secondary and High School students participated in many social activities organized by the European Union, which concerns the minority and the majority, with non-governmental organizations and schools in EU member countries in the 2021-2022 academic year.

The fact that the students participated in many activities in which they were connected with the European Union together with their teachers and that they showed successful works brought an important title to the school.

The picture drawn by the school's student Ceren Ahmet in the painting exhibition with the message "Peace" held against racism and war in Komotini on the occasion of 9 May Europe Day, with her paintings for the Women's Day event organized with the support of the European Union, was held in 2022, organized by the Greek Children's Parliament in cooperation with the 2023 European Culture President ELEVS. Selected in the Greece Inter-School Painting Contest and included in the special album at the Children's Gallery in Greece, the students had a meeting with the Mayor of Komotini, Yannis Garanis on politics and digital management, the students had an online meeting with the Vice President of the European Parliament Papadimulis to get information about the functioning of the parliament. Celal Bayar Minority Secondary and High School "European Parliament brought the title of "European Parliament Ambassador School".

Celal Bayar Minority Secondary and High School attended the events held at different times and on different subjects with 2 teachers and a total of 100 students in groups last year.

The title of ambassador school, which was won by the success of the students, was given to Celal Bayar Minority Secondary and High School by Haris Kunturos, the public relations officer of the European Parliament Ambassador School program, at a ceremony held at the school on Monday, November 7th.

Haris Kunturas, speaking at the ceremony where the school was awarded the title of ambassador school, commemorative diplomas for two teachers and 12 students from three classes, and participation certificates for a total of 100 students who took part in the activities, congratulated the school administration, instructors and students and said that the basic parameters for the successful continuation of the program is democracy. He stated that there are values ​​such as respect for institutions, human dignity, diversity, equality, solidarity, rejection of all forms of violence, fighting against racism, xenophobia, and intolerance.

Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region Education Director Maria Kosmidou and Minority Education Bureau Officer Vasilis Simeonidis also attended the award ceremony.

Celal Bayar Minority Secondary and High School, which is evaluated with high grades in the determined criteria, will be able to participate in the program this year as well. The school will represent 6 teachers and 12 students at the events.
