Minister of Agriculture Avgenakis to visit Gümülcine and Meriç
Minister of Agriculture, Development and Food Lefteris Avgenakis will first visit Gümülcine (Komotini) and then Meriç (Evros) province on Sunday, February 11, to meet with the farmers in Meriç province who support the ongoing farmers' protest in many different parts of the country.
According to media reports, Avgenakis will first be in Gümülcine at 15.30, where he will have a meeting at the Eastern Macedonia Thrace (EMT) Regional Presidency headquarters with representatives of the EMT Region Agricultural and Livestock Unions Coordination Committee, including EMT Thrace Regional President Hristodulos Topsidis. Topsidis will hold the meeting.
On the same day, Minister Avgenakis will meet with farmer representatives at a hotel in Dedeağaç at 18.00 for the restoration of fire-affected areas in Meriç.
