The Mayor of Yassıköy, Caner İmam, met with Savvas Hionidis, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Interior, to discuss the municipality's issues and needs.

According to a statement from the Yassıköy Municipality, the meeting at the Ministry of Interior focused on staff shortages, recruitment of new personnel, financial aid for damage compensation, and disaster prevention measures.
During his visit to Athens, Mayor Caner İmam also met with Deputy Minister of Interior Vasilis Spanakis. The discussion addressed the construction of a shelter for stray animals, including securing land and funding. Additionally, financial support for the sterilization of stray animals was also requested.
