Lexilandia Speech and Language Therapy Center opens in Gümülcine

The opening ceremony welcomed a large number of guests, who were warmly received by Hasan and his family. While Hasan accepted gifts and congratulations, his family offered refreshments to attendees.

Located at Apostlou Souzou 6, near Gümülcine Municipality, the center will operate Monday to Friday between 13:00 and 21:00.

Hasan, born in 1995 in Gümülcine, graduated from the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Western Greece in Patras. He has gained extensive experience through clinical practice in primary schools, kindergartens, special education institutions, hospitals, and individual therapy sessions with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), verbal apraxia, and other conditions.

Over the years, he has collaborated with organizations such as KΔAΠ AMEA “Prosvasi”, Dreams in Action, and the PERPATO Association of Disabled People and Friends. He has also taken part in volunteer projects, including “We Grow Kids Festival” in Gümülcine.

Hasan has attended numerous professional seminars and training programs, including TEACCH Autism Program (UNC), Makaton, Intensive Interaction, developmental speech therapy supervision, dysphagia intervention, and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) applications.

At Lexilandia, he will provide therapy for a wide range of conditions, including phonological disorders, apraxia of speech, ASD, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, learning difficulties, delayed speech, aphasia, dysarthria, swallowing disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions. In addition to speech therapy, services in child psychology and occupational therapy will also be available.
