Kozlardere Küplü Sacrifice event to be held on Sunday
The people of Kozlardere village continue to live the legacy of the sacrifice event inherited from their ancestors in the best way.
Every time the event brings together kinsmen from different villages in the Rhodope region.
The kinsmen of Kozlardereli started to work to keep their deep-rooted traditions alive this year as well.
On Sunday 7 July 2024, the guests who will attend the sacrifice event will be hosted in the best way possible. Mehmet Arif, Deputy Mayor of Yassıköy, one of the elected members of Kozlardere village, informed MILLET that they have started preparations to keep the long-established tradition alive in the best way on Sunday.
Stating that 3 cattle were sacrificed this year, Arif said that the preparations were made to host more than four thousand guests at the event. Finally, Mehmet Arif, on behalf of the village people, invited all West Thracian cognates to the event to be held in and around the Kozlardere Mosque courtyard on Sunday.
