Minister of Migration and Asylum Dimitris Keridis received Bernd Krösser, Undersecretary for Migration at the German Ministry of Interior in Alexandroupoli.
In the statement made on the official website of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, it was stated that Keridis and Krösser attended an event organised in Alexandroupoli.
Keridis and Krösser held a meeting on illegal migration after the event, the statement said.
"The presence of the German delegation at the Evros is an indication that the borders of Greece are also the borders of Europe," the statement said.
The statement said that the cooperation of Frontex, the EU Border Security Agency, and the European Police Organisation (Europol) with the Greek police and border guards is an indication of Europe's joint efforts to address the migration problem.
