Turkish prefabricated building company Karmod has delivered a new mass housing project in Gümülcine, marking its second completed residential development in Greece this year.

In a company statement, Karmod Prefabricated General Manager Uğur Kadir highlighted the growing demand for prefabricated homes in Europe, noting that factory-ready production reduces labor requirements. “This feature increases interest in prefabricated housing in European countries where labor costs are high,” he said, adding that widespread road transport provides a major advantage for deliveries across the continent.

Kadir explained that geographic proximity drives strong demand from Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania, covering both mass housing and individual homes. Most installations are carried out by Karmod’s own supervisor teams, though in some cases customers complete assembly with remote support.

The company is currently active across Europe, with ongoing projects in Portugal, France, and North Macedonia. To date, Karmod has delivered prefabricated and light steel structures in 12 European countries, including Germany, France, the UK, and Spain.

The latest Komotini project consists of 2+1 homes measuring 80 and 90 square meters, designed with insulation systems adapted to local climate conditions. Earlier this year, Karmod also completed villa-type residences on the Greek island of Corfu.
