Journalist Mustafa Şargo dies after three-month battle
Journalist Mustafa Şargo, a staff member of Gündem Newspaper, has passed away at the age of 41 following a three-month struggle for life after suffering a brain hemorrhage.
Şargo had been receiving intensive care treatment at Kavala State Hospital since January 24. Despite sustained medical efforts, he died on Monday evening, April 20, according to hospital sources.
His passing has sparked deep sorrow among colleagues, family members, and the wider community in Western Thrace, where he was known for his dedication to journalism.
Şargo is survived by his wife, Hüsniye Arabacıoğlu, and their 8-year-old son, Alperen Şargo.
Funeral prayers will be held on Tuesday, April 21, following the afternoon (Asr) prayer at Çınar Mosque. He will be laid to rest at the Aşağımahalle Cemetery.
