ITB Youth Branch visits Teknofest and Istanbul cultural sites

The Youth Branch of the İskeçe Turkish Union (ITB) took part in a cultural and technology trip to Istanbul on September 20–21, combining visits to Teknofest and the city’s historic landmarks.
On the first day, the group attended Teknofest, one of the world’s largest technology festivals, held at Atatürk Airport. They were welcomed by Hasan Küçük, President of the Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association, who emphasized the importance of unity among Western Thrace Turks and offered advice to the young participants about their future.
At the festival, the students explored various stands showcasing innovations in engineering, aviation, and technology, while helicopter and jet shows attracted particular excitement.
Following Teknofest, the group toured Istanbul’s historic and cultural sites, including a walk through the colorful streets of Balat and an evening Bosphorus cruise, where they admired the city’s famous skyline.
On the second day, the youth visited Miniatürk, where they viewed miniature models of significant landmarks from Turkiye and around the world. They also toured the Panorama 1453 History Museum, enjoying immersive visual displays and exhibitions. The program concluded with a visit to a book fair, where participants had the chance to explore and purchase a variety of works.
The ITB Youth Branch described the trip as an educational and memorable experience, stressing that such activities strengthen young people’s knowledge and reinforce their cultural and national values. The organization expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the initiative.
