İskeçe Minority High School celebrates 83 graduates in grand ceremony
The graduation event, organized by the School Parents’ Association with the support of the School Board, took place at the Apollon Wedding Hall in İskeçe on June 18. The ceremony brought together students, families, educators, community representatives and diplomats, reflecting strong community engagement around education.
Among the attendees were the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Gümülcine, Aykut Ünal, along with school officials, minority representatives, elected politicians and civil society leaders from the region. Speakers delivered congratulatory remarks, praising the graduates and wishing them success in their future academic journeys.
The program featured musical performances by the school’s music group and a traditional folk dance presentation by senior students, which received strong applause from the audience. The ceremony also included the presentation of diplomas to graduates, delivered by their teachers as their names were called in groups on stage.
Academic achievement awards were presented to top-performing students. Three students shared first place, two students ranked second, and one student placed third. The award segment was followed by emotional moments as students received recognition from school authorities and community leaders.
The ceremony concluded with a symbolic cap toss and a fireworks display, marking the end of the students’ secondary education journey in a festive atmosphere.
