İskeçe Central Turkish Primary School hosts traditional solidarity bazaar
Students of the İskeçe Central Turkish Primary School held their traditional annual charity bazaar on Sunday, drawing a large crowd of supporters from the local community.
The event took place in the school courtyard, where sixth-grade students organized the bazaar to raise funds for their year-end school trip. Visitors enjoyed a variety of homemade foods, drinks, and handcrafted items, all prepared with enthusiasm by students and their families.
The lively event offered both a fun and meaningful experience, fostering a strong sense of solidarity, cooperation, and school spirit among participants.
Broad Attendance from the Community
The bazaar was attended by Türkiye’s Consul General in Komotini Aykut Ünal and his wife İlayda Ünal, President of the Advisory Board and Mufti of İskeçe Mustafa Trampa, Independent MP Burhan Baran, Rodopi MP Özgür Ferhat, FEP Party Chairwoman Çiğdem Asafoğlu, President of the İskeçe Turkish Union Kerem Abdurrahimoğlu, President of the Secondary and High School Committee Ozan Ahmetoğlu, and BTAYTD President and School Committee Chairman Hüseyin Baltacı, as well as Parents’ Association Chairwoman Aliye Deli, parents, and many members of the Turkish minority community.
Spirit of Togetherness
Guests showed great interest in the students’ handmade and homemade products, expressing their appreciation for the children’s efforts. The event also served as a platform for messages of unity and solidarity within the Western Thrace Turkish community.
At the close of the bazaar, the students extended heartfelt thanks to all attendees for their support and encouragement.
