Irrigation pond in Sendelli Village being cleaned and deepened

The Municipality of Yassıköy has initiated a project to clean and deepen the irrigation pond in Sendelli, a mountain village known especially for its cherry production.
The cleaning and deepening process will allow the pond to store more water, helping local farmers overcome irrigation challenges during the summer months.
Mayor Caner İmam personally inspected the ongoing works and provided the following statement:
"With the initiative of our municipality and the support of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region, the irrigation pond in Sendelli Village is being cleaned and deepened to be utilized more efficiently by our farmers. Additionally, to ensure safety, the pond will be enclosed with a wire fence after cleaning, making it more secure."
This project is expected to significantly improve agricultural conditions and contribute to the productivity of local farmers in the region.
