An inflatable boat with about 20 refugees and migrants, the majority of them from Afghanistan, among whom there were children and elderly people, arrived on Saturday morning, August 24, at Kipoi beach in Samothrace. The people were found in an impoverished state on the north side of the island by citizens, who rescued them by taking them to the competent port authority of Samothrace. According to sources from the coastguard, the persons found were transferred to Alexandroupolis, so that the relevant procedures could be followed.
