Çiğdem Asafoğlu, head of the Friendship Equality Peace Party, which is the only political party of Western Thrace Turks, issued a message on the occasion of December 10, World Human Rights Day.
In the message published by FEP Party President Asafoğlu, the human and minority rights of our minority were emphasized and the rights of our minority arising from Lausanne were once again demanded loudly.
The following statements were included in the message:
"While humanity has been giving important tests in the context of rights and freedoms in our world in recent years, all our wish is to develop feelings of love, respect and friendship among people, regardless of race, religion, color, age and gender. Human rights are the rules that will keep people alive in their own right. The rule of human over human is an inhospitable and unacceptable behavior, and the idea of rights, equality, justice and freedom among people must always be respected.
On the occasion of the Human Rights Day, I, once again, loudly demand the rights of our minority arising from Lausanne be applied. I expect understanding and tolerance by our country Greece to these demands. As we have stated many times before, I sincerely believe that all problems can be solved if a dialogue is established with our minority.
On the anniversary of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, I wholeheartedly congratulate our minority, our citizens and the Human Rights Day of all nations of the world. I hope that the World Human Rights Day will bring peace, tranquility and justice to our minority, country and all humanity."
