Hıdırellez spring festival to be held in Ilıca on Tuesday, May 6
TRADITIONAL CELEBRATION RETURNS TO ILICA
The Hıdırellez Spring Festival, jointly organized by the Xanthi Turkish Union (İTB) and the Municipality of Mustafçova, will be held on Tuesday, May 6 in the Kaplıcalar (Baths) area of Ilıca village.
According to the organizers, the festivities will begin at 16:00 and will feature a rich cultural program. Students from the İTB Music Course and the Ova Young Girls group, operating under the Xanthi Turkish Union, will perform traditional songs and folk music. Folk dance groups from the İTB will also take the stage with live performances throughout the afternoon.
GUESTS TO ENJOY TRADITIONAL OFFERINGS
As part of the celebration, attendees will be offered “gölle,” a traditional Hıdırellez dish associated with springtime blessings and renewal.
The İTB emphasized in its public statement that the festival is open to everyone, inviting residents of all ages to join the joyful gathering.
