Heating crisis in Xanthi!

The problem experienced by dozens of households in Xanthi due to the incomplete natural gas connections was brought to the agenda on Thursday, 16 January through SKAI television channel's morning programme Live You. 

A resident of Xanthi, who connected to the programme hosts Aris Portosalte and Maria Anastasopulu, complained about the situation, stating that they have been waiting for months for the completion of the natural gas connections.

This problem has been raised by the residents of the region before and has been on the agenda of local media organs from time to time. However, with the onset of winter in Xanthi, the problem has come to the agenda again and this problem experienced by hundreds of families has become more evident.

The citizen who expressed the complaint emphasised that it should not be enough to solve only his own situation, this problem experienced by all the people of Xanthi requires a general solution.

The views of the company officials were also included in the programme. Officials stated that the connection works were prioritised and that action was taken to meet the relevant demand following the complaint. However, it became clear that the situation should be addressed not only with individual solutions, but in a way to cover all households in the region.
